Hi, I’m Brenda Morgan.
I’m a Michigan author who writes psychological suspense and domestic thrillers filled with strong women, dark secrets, unexpected twists, and characters who refuse to leave my imagination.
Before becoming an author, I spent many years as an elementary school teacher. These days, I’m enjoying retirement, spending time with my husband of more than 34 years, our daughter and granddaughter, and our busy household that includes two dogs and two mischievous cats.
Writing wasn’t something I planned to do—it was something I couldn’t ignore. What started as a single story became a growing series set in the fictional town of Rapid River, Michigan. Readers first met Liz in The Woman Who Came Back, followed Krista’s journey in What He Left Behind, and now return to familiar faces in my newest release, When He Came Back.
My stories explore resilience, family, friendship, and the strength people discover when life pushes them to their limits. While each book can be enjoyed on its own, readers often tell me they love returning to the characters and small-town connections that tie the series together.
When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me with a cup of coffee, helping with my daughter’s family business, reading, spending time with my granddaughter, or dreaming up the next mystery for the residents of Rapid River.
